Stop At: Surmene, Surmene, Turkish Black Sea Coast
Our wonderful day tour starts with picking up our clients from their hotel. Firstly we’ll visit Sürmene Knife Factory and will get information about its history and production stages. Traditional Surmene knives have been famous all over the world for centruies Being 15–20 cm in height, Surmene knife has sharp or round tip and the section between incisive part and handle is embroidered by carving. Steel body, silver, brass and chrome ornaments, handle made from ox horn, wood, deer horn and sheath made from box wood or leather are its specific features. The people enerally use it for duel fighting and knife horon (dance) since from old times.

Our next stop will be famous fabric factory also known as Yöresel Rize Bezi Factory in Gundoğdu province in Rize. We’ll learn the traditional production stages and its history.

Our next stop will be famous Fırtına Deresi and Valley. Our guest will have free time in here for lunch and Zipline activites and for sure admire for the its nature by taking photos! Fırtına or Peruma is one of the main water streams of Rize Province in the eastern Black Sea Region of Turkey. Its name is Turkish for “storm water”. There is a group of more than 20 well-preserved Ottoman-era bridges over the Fırtına Deresi.

Our last stop before we head back to Trabzon is Ayder Plateau. Our guests will have free time to discover this one of the nature wonders in the world. Turkey is blessed with spectacular plateaus and one of those is the Ayder Plateau located in the town of Camlihemsin in the province of Rize.The Ayder Plateau is fondly referred to as “honey forest” because of its delicacy, the honey. It is a conglomeration of all shades of green with touches of gold and brown that reaches out to the skies. You will also find both hot and cold crystal-clear springs. The Ayder Plateau used to be Turkey’s best kept secret although it has slowly gained popularity with the traveling crowds.
