Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Goreme Open-Air Museum, Merkez, Muze Cd., Goreme 50180 Turkey

Perhaps one of the most recognizable attractions in Cappadocia, Turkey, the unusual edifices at the Göreme Open-Air Museum (Göreme Açık Hava Müzesi) are an important part of monastic history. A popular Byzantine settlement in the fourth century.

Pass By: Uchisar Castle, Uchisar Turkey

Uchisar Castle is the ancient prize of its delicate town. With insane views from the top that transport you back in time, here’s all you need to know.

Pass By: Love Valley, Goreme 50180 Turkey

Love Valley Cappadocia is a place of natural wonders. These giant penis shaped monuments were left by mother nature and are now a huge hit amongst tourist. Here’s all you need to know.

Pass By: Cavusin, Cavusin, Cappadocia

Cavusin Village Ruins
Carved into Çavuşin’s craggy cliff face is a labyrinthine complex of abandoned houses that you can wander through by climbing up the short cliff path that leads upwards from the village’s tiny old mosque. The timeless ambience has been lost somewhat due to the hotel that has been slapped right in the middle of the ruins, but there’s still plenty to explore and the views from the summit are excellent.

If you’re walking through the valleys from Göreme, head through Çavuşin’s cemetery into the village and turn right at the new mosque. From here it’s a short stroll to the old mosque and the cliff path. If you’re coming by dolmuş, get off at Çavuşin Kilisesi on the highway, and walk up the main road through the village until you get to the new mosque.

Pass By: Sentez Avanos Hali – Rug Workshop & Store, Kizilirmak Caddesi No 8, Avanos 50500 Turkey

Chez Galip Hair Museum of Avanos
For many years, I have read about the Hair Museum of Avanos. To me the idea is extremely freakish and I compared it to a mass killer collecting personal items from each of his female victims but apparently the museum was started by a love-sick local and pottery master called Chez Galip, who was heartbroken when the woman he loved left town, so he took a lock of her hair. (No idea if this is true)

Still I wanted to see it and entering a local pottery shop, we were directed along some extremely narrow steps into a basement area. From there, the ceiling and walls of the long room are covered with pieces of hair. My estimation is that there are 30,000, if not more, pieces of hair in that room! Each piece of hair, has paper attached to it, with the name of the owner, their hometown and date of visit. On some pieces, there is also a small passport picture. I saw blond, brunette and even green hair.

Pass By: Devrent Valley, Devrent Mevkii No:1 Urgup Yolu, 50500 Turkey

Unlike other valleys in the Cappadocia region, Devrent Valley was never inhabited by humans. There are no rock-hewn churches or ancient castles, nor are there any troglodyte caves or pigeon homes. Instead what draws visitors to Devrent Valley is the incredible pink-hued rock formations and geological anomalies that have been formed by centuries of erosion. Wind and water have worked away at the soft volcanic tuff to leave behind compelling pillar-like shapes and other odd forms. Many have dubbed this region the Lunar Landscape or Moonscape for its unearthly appearance and it is necessary to see the area from above to fully appreciate why it has earnt this name.

Scattered about the valley you can find animal shaped rocks and Fairy Chimneys among other interesting formations, the easiest to spot are the dolphin, snake, seal, alligator and praying Mary. Feel free to use your imagination while exploring.

Pass By: Fairy Chimneys, Goreme Turkey

WHAT ARE FAIRY CHIMNEYS?
The secret of Cappadocia is hidden with the geographical formations dating back to 60 million years. The smooth layers formed by the lava and ashes spewed out from the Mount Erciyes, Mount Hasan and Mount Gulludag has become rocky formations first and than corroded with the rain and wind for million years and finally showed up today’s geographic formations.

Fairy Chimneys are the world famous formations of Cappadocia. The outstanding landscape, natural beauties, rock-cut houses, caves, the picturesque valleys, scenic lunar hills and many more popular spots of Cappadocia are full of these unusual and amazing formations.

Pass By: Mahzen Sarap Evi, Istiklal Cad. No: 20 Next to Hammam, Urgup 50400 Turkey

In terms of natural beauties; valleys, Fairy Chimneys, in terms of history; With its underground cities, open-air museums, churches, chapels and monasteries, it is a place that must be visited and seen from every angle. Apart from all these historical and natural beauties, Cappadocia also manages to impress us with its wines. Especially in Cappadocia, there are Urgup wine houses for you to go and see and experience these wines.

HISTORY OF WINE IN CAPPADOCIA
It is not known exactly when the wine was produced in Cappadocia, there is no clear date. However, according to some findings discovered in the Cappadocia region, we can say that wine production in Anatolia dates back 6000 years. However, there is also an assumption, and we know that Mesopotamia, where some kind of wine emerged in 3000 BC, is bordered by the Euphrates River and Cappadocia. Based on this border neighborhood, it may have affected Cappadocia. As a result, perhaps wine was produced in Cappadocia at that time.
