Stop At: Ancient City of Ephesus, Selcuk 35920 Turkey

Our day tour starts with picking up our guests from their hotel and drive to Ephesus. Before we reach to Ephesus, we’ll have a break to have breakfast and after we’ll visit the Turkish Delight Center and learn the history of Turkish Lokum and many more.

When you visit the ancient city of Ephesus which is the greatest ”Open Air Museum” of the world, together with your guide you will live the life of a thousand years ago in your mind. Give yourself the chance to see the well planned streets, the first temple dedicated to a Roman Emperor, the ancient Iatrina, the first road sign of mankind indicating the direction of the brothel and of course the biggest theatre. Relive the days of Julius Ceasar who would have spent many an evening sitting in the grand theatre cheering on the gladiators of the day or watching the local thespians at work.

Stop At: Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House), Sultaniye Mahallesi, Selcuk 35100 Turkey

After lunch, we’ll visit The Virgin Mary’s House. Virgin Mary House is located on the Bülbül Mountain, 9 km from Selçuk. It is known that John brought Virgin Mary to Ephesus 4 or 6 years after the death of Jesus. In 1891, the Lazarist priests, upon the dream of the German nun A. Katherina Emerich, discovered that the house where the Virgin Mary spent her last days was at the end of this research. This event is a new invention in the world of Christianity and shed light on the world of religion. This structure was cross-planned then restored. The house is considered sacred by Muslims, Pope VI. After Paul’s visit in 1967, the rites are held on the 15th day of August every year, and these rituals attract great attention.

Our last stop before we drive back to Marmaris and drof off our guests to their hotels will be Ceramic Workshop. We’ll learn Turkish Ceramics’ history and stages of the production.
