Day 4: Ancient Ephesus Tour

Considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Ephesus’ Temple of Artemis was dedicated to the goddess of the hunt. Only the foundation and one column remains of this temple which once measured 425 feet long, 220 feet long.Destroyed by a deliberate fire in the 4th century BCE and then rebuilt, the great Ionic temple survived until late Antiquity and the Gothic invasion of c. 267 CE. The city reached the “Golden Age” and became a good model to the Antic World in culture and art as well.

Day 5: Pamukkale Tour / Travel to Antalya

Day 6: Perge, Aspendos, Side, Kursunlu Waterfalls

Stop At: Perge Ancient City, Aksu, Antalya 07110 Turkey
Perge, one of the largest and most popular ancient city in the Pamphylia region. Perge was the capital of Pamphylia then eventually came under Roman rule in 133B.C. and this is when it flourished most and indeed most of the ruins that are left today are from that area. You will see the Agora, Roman Baths, Colonnaded Street, Nympharium and also Grand amphitheater which could hold 15.000 people.

Side; one of the most popular and classical ancient citys of Turkey, also became an important base for the Cilician pirates and their slave trade and profited from this. With the defeat of the pirates, Side fell under the control of Rome and became part of the Roman Empire and many constructions took place in Side such as a large theatre, Roman Baths and The Temple of Apollo.

Devrent Valley; famous for its quirky animal-shaped rocks. It looks like a sculpture zoo made by nature. There is even a rock pillar that looks like the Virgin Mary, holding Jesus Christ. Take in the unique lunar landscape of the valley and feel like you’re in another World

Pasabagi which means: the Pacha’s vineyard. This site is also called Monks Valley. The hermitage of Simeon monks was here. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon (Simon), and a hermit’s shelter is built into one of the fairy chimneys with three heads. Pasabag valley contains some of the most striking fairy chimneys in Cappadocia with twin and even triple rock caps. This style is unique even for Cappadocia and these fairy chimneys are named mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys.

Day 10: Underground Cities of Cappadocia

Rose and Red Valley; is an incredibly unique area of Cappadocia with sharp ridges, tinted in pink especially during sunset! the minerals in the sandstone have a pink tinge.
