Day 1: Tour A
Pass By: German Fountain, Hippodrome Square, Istanbul 34122 Turkey
The German Fountain (Turkish: Alman Çeşmesi German: Deutscher Brunnen) is a gazebo styled fountain in the northern end of old hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square), Istanbul, Turkey and across from the Mausoleum of Sultan Ahmed I. It was constructed to commemorate the second anniversary of German Emperor Wilhelm II’s visit to Istanbul in 1898. It was built in Germany, then transported piece by piece and assembled in its current site in 1900. The neo-Byzantine style fountain’s octagonal dome has eight marble columns, and dome’s interior is covered with golden mosaics.

The Blue Mosque – One of the Most Famous Misunderstandings
The Sultanahmet Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii) was built between 1609 and 1617 and is also known as the Blue Mosque because of the blue tiles used to decorate the walls of its interior. The construction was commissioned by Sultan Ahmet I. The idea was to build a monument that would not only rival with the magnificent Hagia Sophia.
Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque is probably most iconic architecture of Istanbul. Many movies and shots of Istanbul always capture this mosque.

Awesome frescoes and amazing facade. The place is known to be a church and a mosque both. A mix of Christianity, Judaism and Islamic architecture comes in one form. The gallery above is astonishing. An absolutely wonder of ancient architecture. This building is nearly 1500 years old and it’s beauty, construction, and design still awe to this day. The Hagia Sophia was built by the Byzantines as a church nearly 1500 years ago and at the time was the biggest in the world. It held that distinction for hundreds of years. In the 15th century when the Ottomans conquered Constantinople it was converted into a Masjid.
Hagia Sophia, with its unique majesty, preserves its feature of being the only and unique cultural entity in the world with its rare sculptures, painting arts, mosaic arts and other religious motifs.

The Basilica Cistern, or Cisterna Basilica, is the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in the 6th century during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I.
It is underground water reservoir called as “Yerebatan Cistern” because of the underground marble columns. The cistern is 140 m long and 70 m wide, rectangular in shape with 52 step staircase and 336 shelter columns each of 9 m. The column are composed of 12 rows and each have 28 columns. The two medusa heads which are used as supports are the real art during the roman period.
The enlarged cistern provided a water filtration system for the Great Palace of Constantinople and other buildings on the First Hill, and continued to provide water to the Topkapı Palace after the Ottoman conquest in 1453 and into modern times.

The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is undoubtedly one of the oldest and most fascinating places and well preserved since 500 years. where you can experience oriental shopping. It covers 60 streets, houses 5,000 shops and employs over 20,000 people,had 22 gates, there are 2 mosques, 4 fountains, 10 wells, 2 Turkish baths!
But “The Grand Bazaar cannot be compared with a shopping mall because it has historical and cultural value”

Stop At: Suleymaniye Mosque, Prof. SIddIk Sami Onar Cd. No:1 Süleymaniye Mah, Istanbul 34116 Turkey
The Suleymaniye Mosque better known as the mosque of Suleman the Magnificent crowns one of Istanbul’s seven hills and dominates the Golden Horn, built in 1557 providing a landmark for the entire city. Though not the largest of the Ottoman mosques, but it is certainly the grandest and most beautiful. Inside is breathtaking in its size and simplicity. Beautiful decorations such as floral designs, geometrical patterns, and calligraphy from the Koran, marbles , tiles and mats The chandeliers are low and dim. Massive arches and four columns lifting the main dome.

Day 2: Tour B
Stop At: Chora Museum, Kariye Mahallesi, Kariye Camii Sokak, No: 18 EdirnekapI Fatih, Istanbul 34087 Turkey
Chora museum An eastern roman church made in 6th.century. Masterpiece style interiors. Fascinating stories attached to each of the creations, mosaics and frescos. After converted mosque some parts unable to visit.

Stop At: Tekfur Sarayi, Hocacakir Caddesi, Istanbul Turkey
The Palace was constructed during the late 13th or early 14th centuries as part of the Blachernae palace complex, where the Theodosian Walls join with the later walls of the suburb of Blachernae. Although the palace appears at first glance to be named after the 10th-century emperor Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus, it was built long after his time, and is in fact named after Constantine Palaiologos, a son of the Emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos.”Porphyrogenitus”, meaning literally “born to the purple”, indicated a child born to a reigning emperor. The palace served as an imperial residence during the final years of the Byzantine Empire.

Pass By: Walls of Constantinople (Istanbul City Walls), Istanbul Turkey
Perhaps one of the most successfully preserved and reconstructed fragments of the Constantinople walls is located not in the central part of the city (Sultanahmet), but on the historical outskirts of Constantinople.
The so-called Theodosian walls were built from 402 to 413, and then rebuilt after the 740 earthquake. There were as many as 100 towers on the walls.
The top of the walls has a nice panoramic view with Golden horn.

Vlaherna Meryem Ana church functioning as a Greek Orthodox Church which built in 1867. One of the most iconic spiritual well
Preserved churches that even today we can still pray and blessed. Also
be able to step on the place where our St Virgin Marie walked so many years ago and prayed was something that cannot be explained into words. One must see with its own eyes to understand. Very emotional and spiritual place.
There is a source of holy water within the church. You can take away holy water.

Pass By: Fener & Balat, Fener & Balat, Istanbul
The name of the place we will visit in Balat is “Merdivenli yokuş” What makes this place famous is that its characteristic streets, warm local people, local street foods, ancient churches, mostly famous for its colorful streets, paving stones and colourful wooden house paintings. Balat is a place where Greeks have lived throughout history and where many Christian and Islamic places of worship are still living today, and it has preserved its historical features until today.
Pass By: Church of St. Mary of the Mongols, Tevkii Cafer Mektebi Sk. No:1 Balat Mahallesi, Istanbul 34087 Turkey
This is the story of St.Mary who was the daughter of the Byzantine king and sent to Mongols to get married there…But she was unlucky to get married to the leaders of the Mongols and sent back to Constantinapolis and her father has built this church on her name.., After the conquest of Istanbul, most of the churhes have been converted into mosque, but Sultan Mehmet the Conquerer did not touch this church as a privelege to those people living in this region
Pass By: Fener, Balat, Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey
This building was built in 1881 (you can see the architects name on the back of the tower) for the Greek College of Fener, an institution that began shortly after the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in 1453,making it the oldest educational institution in the city. Beautiful to look at though very difficult to get permission to enter. The school is still active and has about 60 students.
Stop At: Aya Nikola Rum Ortodoks Kilisesi, Koca Mustafa Pasa Street, Istanbul Turkey
The Patriarchal Church of St George the Victory-bearer is entirely worth visiting, especially for its history and the sacred objects and relics that are preserved here.
This is the main church where the Patriarch of Constantinople attends services.

Also known as Patriarchate Of Constantinople or The Ecumenical Patriarchate is truly Holy place that must-see experience In Constantinople. A place of storage of holy relics. A unique mosaic depicting Jesus in adolescence (lop-eared teenager). Attributes of the Christian church before the division into Western and Eastern. Other objects like golden icons, mosaics and craft arts. There is probably absolutely nothing to compare with.
