The tour starts at 9:00. Hagia Sophia: it is one of the unmistakable symbols of the city of Istanbul. It was the seat of the Orthodox Patriarch of Constantinople and the main stage for Byzantine imperial ceremonies, such as coronations. Day 5: Kusadası – Ephesus – Pamukkale

Ephesus, the best preserved ancient city in Asia Minor and which during the 1st and 2nd centuries had a population of 250,000, monopolized the wealth of the Middle East. We will visit the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the Library, The Odeon, the Theater, etc.

The House of the Virgin Mary, supposedly the last resting place of the Mother of Jesus.

Continuation to Pamukkale to visit the ancient Hierapolis and the Cotton Castle, a natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls, stalactites and natural pools formed over the centuries by the passage of calcareous salts from hot springs.

Day 6: Pamukkale – Konya – Cappadocia

Departure to the Anatolian region to visit en route a “Kervansaray” an old caravan inn, the largest from the Seljucida period, a complex with bedrooms, stables etc. used by merchants. We will visit Mevlana Museum and Sultahan Caravansarai.

Day 7: Cappadocia

Stop At: Goreme National Park, Goreme 50180 Turkey
Goreme Open Air Museum: it is a national park listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1985. In the museum, whose first settlements date back to the 3rd and 4th centuries, you can see the best preserved churches of Cappadocia with frescoes from the centuries XI and XII. The constructions were carved out of the rock in the form of artificial caves.

Uchisar: it is a town of troglodyte settlements known for its fortress built in order to protect them from enemy attacks.

The Valley of the Pigeons: in this valley the pigeons were trained to use them as messengers between the different settlements throughout Central Cappadocia, so they played an essential role in communication.

Ozkonak: 10-story underground city dug into the slope of Mount Idis, built as a refuge due to the constant attacks suffered by its inhabitants
