The interior of the church is also interesting as it houses some paintings from the 10th century. Your quiet and relaxing walking session will end when you reach a local riverside restaurant. You will have a lunch break here and have the chance to recharge your batteries with energy to continue your trip. Then you will continue your tour at Selime Cave Monastery. Before going to the monastery, you will have the chance to visit several fairy chimneys at the bottom of the cliff. The tour guide will give some interesting information about the place. It is estimated that the monastery was built between the 8th and 10th centuries, and its halls contained a missionary school, church and living area. There is another women's monastery right opposite, on the cliff.
