What makes İstanbul Under Your Wings a unique experience ?

In the sleepy İstanbul suburb of Eyüp, Pierre Loti Hill rises above the Golden Horn. Named after the French writer Julien Viaud, or rather his pseudonym, Pierre Loti Hill offers stunning views and a collection of ancient İstanbul architecture that has been lovingly preserved since the 19th century. There is a cable car that leads directly to the top of the hill, but adventurous travellers should tackle the somewhat strenuous climb up the stairs that crosses the Sultan’s Cemetery.

The Galata Tower, Galata Kulesi in Turkish, is one of the highest and oldest towers of Istanbul. 63 meter (206 feet) high tower provides a panoramic view of the old town. It was built in the 14th century by the Genoese colony as part of the defense wall surrounding their district at Galata directly opposite ancient Constantinopolis.

The Süleymaniye Mosque (Süleymaniye Camii) is not only stunning; in my opinion it is also the masterpiece of the famous architect Sinan (Mimar Sinan). Sure, the Blue Mosque is the most famous one and therefore better known among the tourists, which is also its drawback. The Süleymaniye Mosque, crowning Istanbul’s highest hill, doesn’t suffer from that huge, constant flow of visitors. And that’s not the only quality it possesses.
